Where is Your Focus? Is it in the Correct Place?

Without addressing the root cause, unfathomable pain from sexual betrayal,  true healing can not take place. It will be like just putting a bandaid on a deep wound and expecting it to heal without first cleaning it out and then keeping it clean.

  • Focusing on him and what he is or isn’t doing prevents you doing your own healing work

    • Learning to focus on your own self-care and healing is the best thing you can do for YOURSELF, him and your family

  • You can not use food, movies and sugar to ease the pain, otherwise known as emotional eating or the opposite not eating at all

    • This is known as numbing and zoning out for a reason, usually we don’t feel better after doing these things, it just distracts us from what we really need to be doing - healing- for ourselves and those around us

  • Turning anywhere and everywhere but to Yahweh for help and support, trying to figure it out on your own

    • Doesn’t work because Yahweh is where you should be turning for support and help - HE has the answers to your deep agony

  • Some of us drink coffee to help with brain fog and lack of energy

    • However, we know it doesn’t support sustainable energy, because we have to keep drinking it or eating sugar to have energy and make it through our day

  • Taking prescription drugs to help reduce your anxiety and panic attacks, doesn’t address the cause of the anxiety and panic attacks

    • Only once the cause of the attacks is identified can the healing take place and the attacks subside

All of these and more that I did not address actually prevent you working on your healing, they are distractions causing you push the pain down or numb it instead of taking it out and examining it. Examining it and facing it head on is the only way to heal the bone deep pain, anger, rage, bitterness and unforgiveness.

The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high. Proverbs 18:10
