Despite the infidelity in your marriage that you now know about it, it is possible to be peaceful, to be complete, whole.

Let's look at some definitions before we get to far into this post.

Peace filled: filled with peace, not much bothers this person

Peaceful: free from war, strife, commotion, violence, or disorder: a peaceful demonstration.

Peaceable: not argumentative, quarrelsome, or hostile:

a peaceful disposition

Do those definitions make you sigh and say "Someday that will be my life."

Someday may not come. Make it your life today.

We are not promised life without strife, commotion, disorder, pain, hurt ... we are promised that we can be peaceful in the midst of those things!

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage." John 14:27

Have you ever noticed how in the storm Yeshua was able to sleep on the boat. Can you imagine having that kind of peace? (Matthew 8:23-27)To be able to sleep during a storm when the boat is being cast about on the waves, the rain is falling down fast and furious. Everyone is sure they are going to capsize and you are asleep. That is PEACE. Shalom.

Shalom. This word is often translated peace, however it goes much deeper than a state of tranquility or serenity; which is the definition of our English word peace.

Shalom in Hebrew means wholeness or completeness even in the midst of turmoil. It means taking shelter under His wings and not allowing anything to disturb your wellbeing.

Despite the infidelity in your marriage that you now know about it, it is possible to be peaceful, to be complete, whole. Despite the hurt. The deep pain that you don't think will ever go away, it is possible to have TRUE peace. Not false peace because you aren't facing the pain, are stuffing it down or keeping yourself so busy that you don't feel it. I am talking about TRUE peace that comes from knowing you are in the will of Yahweh, knowing that He has a plan, knowing that He is in charge and allows free will.

We can have this kind of shalom or peace in our lives in spite of our circumstances. When you shelter with Him, He will protect you from all attacks, storms and darts sent your way by others.

I know. I have been sheltering with Him for a long time. He has protected my shalom too many times to count!

The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high. Proverbs 18:10
